Hirata Kanko Farm
At "Hirata Kanko Noen ", located in Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, you can enjoy a variety of fruit picking throughout the year. It takes about two hours by car from the center of the city, and is crowded with families and couples on weekends. In addition to fruit picking, you can experience nature through agriculture and have a variety of experiences that are difficult to have in everyday life.

"The most popular experience at Hirata Kanko Farm "is still fruit picking. Located at an altitude of 550 meters, the farm is home to an airy atmosphere with a large temperature difference between day and night, and about 15 varieties of fruits are grown throughout the year. Visitors can pick strawberries from winter to spring, cherries around June, peaches around July, and apples, pears, and pioneers from August to fall.
Strawberry picking is held in a special plastic greenhouse called "Kimida Strawberry House ", which is directly operated by "Hirata Kanko Noen ". You can take home a pack and enjoy an all-you-can-eat plan for 40 minutes. Junior high school students and older pay 1,870 yen, elementary school students pay 1,650 yen, and preschool students from 3 years old to preschool age pay 770 yen.
The "Just Picking "held in the fall is another popular plan. While most fruit picking plans allow you to eat as much of the same fruit as you like, "Just Picking "allows you to taste a variety of fruits depending on the number of tickets you have. You can eat them on the spot or take them home as souvenirs. Children will be delighted to be able to visit and pick a variety of fruits in a hiking atmosphere.
Full-fledged outdoor activities with nothing in hand
"At Hirata Kanko Farm ", you can easily enjoy outdoor activities such as bonfires, Dutch ovens, and BBQ. The farm provides fire pits, firewood, chairs, tables, etc., making it ideal for beginners. Children will enjoy the extraordinary experience of chopping wood and making a fire to build a bonfire. You are free to bring your own food, so please feel free to arrange it in your own way.
There is also a space for cooking using a Dutch oven. Dutch ovens, which are difficult to obtain because of the cost of a complete set, can be used here. You can make cheese dakkarbi, paella, roast chicken, etc. It is a blissful time when you eat your meal in the forest after cooperating with others.
There is an area where BBQ is available, and except for the basic fee and booth rental fee, there are no restrictions on what you can bring in to enjoy. Tables, chairs, stoves, charcoal, nets, and tongs are provided, so you only need to bring your own food. "Hirata Kanko Farm "has an old private house café inside. Originally located on a site where a dam was to be constructed, the house was supposed to be sunk, but was relocated and renovated to create this café. The house is over 100 years old, and visitors can spend a relaxing time in a space that feels like a time slip back in time.
Our recommended food menu is "Hamburger Grilled Curry with Mashed Potatoes and White Sauce ". This curry is packed with everyone's favorite things: a juicy hamburger steak, hunky potatoes, and a deep curry. It is topped with cheese and egg yolk for a mild taste.
The sweets menu is also abundant, and parfaits using freshly picked fruit are especially popular. They are especially popular for their parfaits made with freshly picked fruit, which look gorgeous and are perfect for photographs. Open from 11:00 to 15:00 and closed on Tuesdays.

Uenohara Farm
This ranch is located in Fukutomi-cho, Higashihiroshima City. It is located 20 minutes by car from the Shiwa IC. On weekends, many people visit from all over the prefecture, including Hiroshima City and Fukuyama City. There is a store and restaurant inside the ranch, making it a very well-equipped ranch. Gelato made from milk of dairy cows is especially popular.
You can also feed cows, pigs, rabbits, and other animals, which is very popular with children.
My favorite is the thick gelato.
"A must-try at Uenohara Ranch "is the gelato made with fresh milk. You can really taste the flavor of the milk, and it is indeed ice cream from the ranch. Flavors change slightly depending on the time of year, but there are about 10 flavors to choose from, so it is hard to decide which one to get. Single 306 yen, double 389 yen, and mini ice cream 213 yen, and you can choose between a cup or cone.
Restaurant surrounded by nature
In April 2017, a cafe opened inside "Uenohara Ranch ". "CADORE BURGERS "offers excellent burgers. The patties are made from cows that have delivered plenty of delicious milk as dairy cows, and we are grateful for their life to the end. The vegetables are very fresh and are locally grown in Fukutomi Town and Shiwa. We are also particular about our eggs and use eggs from Tsuguchi Farm, which are imported from Sera Town and have a rich yolk.

GLAMPISPA Setouchi
"GLAMPISPA Setouchi "is a glamping facility that opened in August 2021 on the oceanfront of Osakishita Island. All rooms are equipped with an open-air bath and a large private garden, allowing you to relax and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Each room is also separated from the others, creating a private space where you can play as much as you like with your children without worrying about being seen.
