Bayside Beach Slope
The closest beach to Hiroshima City
"Bayside Beach Saka ", located in Mizusiri, Saka-machi, Aki-gun, is the closest beach, accessible in about 30 minutes by car from the center of Hiroshima City. The artificial sandy beach stretches about 1,200 meters along National Route 31 and is crowded with many people during the bathing season.
Outside of the swimming season (July-August), the beach is open 24 hours a day, free of charge, and is a popular spot to watch the sunrise and sunset and as a fishing spot.

Setoda Sunset Beach
Beautiful Shirahama Long Beach
"Setoda Sunset Beach "is located on Ikuchishima Island in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and is famous for its white sand beach and beautiful sunsets. The white sand beach stretches 800 meters and is lined with tropical palm trees. Because of its beauty, it has been selected as one of the 88 best beaches in Japan by the Environment Agency, and is crowded with people from inside and outside of the prefecture during the bathing season.
Shower rooms, changing rooms, and restrooms are also provided for your comfort.
It's not just about swimming!
"At Setoda Sunset Beach ", you can enjoy many things besides swimming. You can also experience marine sports, BBQ, and rent bicycles. There are also a variety of restaurants and training facilities, so there are likely to be a wide range of uses for the beach.
Sea kayaking and SUP are available as marine sports, and the fees for both are 2,000 yen/30 minutes for adults and 1,500 yen/30 minutes for elementary school students and younger. Instructors are available, so beginners and children are welcome. We recommend this place to feel the gentle waves and sea breeze of the Seto Inland Sea and create wonderful summer memories.
There is a restaurant on the beach, which is open every day from the opening of the beach in July until the end of August. One of the attractions of this restaurant is that you can easily come to the beach without the need to bring your own lunch. Ice cream is also available for sale, so why not take a break from the hot sun?
There is also a store selling jams and cookies made on Ikuchi Island, which can be enjoyed just by looking around.

Rabbit Island Bathing Beach
"Okunojima Beach "is located on Okunojima Island, famous as "Rabbit Island ". Okunojima can be reached by boat from JR Chukai in 15 minutes and is home to over 900 rabbits.
The beach is spacious, and you can enjoy swimming with the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea in the background. If you are lucky, you may even see rabbits on the beach.
During the swimming season, the beach is well equipped with restrooms, showers, changing rooms, and a store. The concession stand sells planks, floats and floats for rent, snacks, and beverages.
Enjoy more than just swimming
If you have come all the way to Okunojima, you should not only swim in the sea but also interact with rabbits. The rabbits on Okunojima are very friendly and cute. You can see them sleeping, eating, and in many other ways.

"Kenmin-no-hama ", located in Gamakari, Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a beach surrounded by rich nature with the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea archipelago spread out before its eyes. 400m long sandy beach has been selected as one of "the 100 best beaches in Japan ", "the 55 best bathing spots in Japan ", "the 100 best bathing spots in Japan ".
