Tokyo Tower

As of August 2022, it is the second tallest structure in Japan "after the Tokyo Sky Tree ", but until then it was famous as the tallest structure in Japan.

Tokyo Tower is now an immensely popular tourist attraction, but do you know why it was built in the first place?

Tokyo Tower was built about 64 years ago. It was built as a "general radio tower "for television and radio in the Kanto region.

In those days, television and radio stations built radio towers for each station to transmit their signals, but this was inconvenient because the direction of the antenna had to be changed every time the channel was changed.

To solve this problem, it was decided to build a unified radio tower for each station, and the Tokyo Tower was constructed.
