The Yellow Post for Happiness

It is popular as a symbol of marriage because Yamayukihiko and Princess Toyotama, who are enshrined at Aoshima Shrine, are said to have exchanged love letters.

In conjunction with the "Qingdao Beach Park "that began in 2015, the postboxes originally installed in Qingdao for many years were repainted yellow and reborn as "Happy Yellow Post ".

It is actually operated as a post box, and postcards can be posted there! You can take a picture with the beautiful sea in the background and send a letter to your loved one.

The wavy rocks arranged in a circle around Qingdao are called "the Demon's Washboard ".

During the late Miocene (about 7 million years ago), hydrothermal rocks (layers of hard sandstone and soft mudstone repeatedly piled up) formed in the sea and were uplifted and washed by waves over a long period of time, so that only the hard sandstone layers can be seen piled up like plates.
They can be seen along the 8-km coastline from Aoshima Island to Kinshima Island in the south. When the tide is low, visitors can enjoy playing on the shore.
