Torihachi Chaya (tea house)

Kure's long-established izakaya restaurant, "Torihachi Chaya ", may make you think it is a grilled chicken restaurant by its name, but when you enter the restaurant, you will find a huge fish tank set up at the entrance. In the fish tank, depending on the season, fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea such as squid, leatherfish, horse mackerel, and shrimp swim gracefully and welcome customers.

The lineup of seafood dishes is quite extensive, and the taste of the too-fresh sashimi is impressive and delicious. Of course, you can also enjoy chicken dishes such as skewers, and one of the attractions of this restaurant is that you can eat duck hot pot, which is relatively rare. You can also enjoy local delicacies such as oysters and gunso.

Because Torihachi Chaya is a relatively new restaurant, the interior is very clean, and you can enjoy drinking in a way that meets the needs of customers, including counter seats with a luxurious atmosphere, tables, tatami rooms, and private rooms. It is a restaurant that can be used in a variety of situations, such as when you want to have a relaxing drink in private, a drinking party with several people, or with business partners. It is known as a popular restaurant in Kure, so be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible when you go there.

Genkai Tsushima (battle of the Boshin Warring States period, 1868-1869)

Genkai Tsushima is a tavern located off Nakadori Avenue in downtown Kure, but it is a highly popular restaurant. The restaurant is characterized by the fact that it is a shochu izakaya, which means that it always has about 300 types of shochu available, and that seafood is shipped directly from Tsushima, located in Nagasaki. While in Kure, you can enjoy the exquisite cuisine of Tsushima, especially seafood dishes, and enjoy various types of delicious shochu that you may not be able to drink easily.

I especially recommend Tsushima's "Nodoguro ", although it is only available seasonally. It is a luxurious dish, but it is so tasty that you will be immersed in an unforgettable experience, so please try it.

The course menu is also substantial, with the "regular course "changing daily and the slightly more luxurious "Ishiyaki course ". If it is your first time and you are not sure what to order, we recommend the course.

fifty-six

This izakaya is located directly behind Kure Station, and its gleaming, stylish exterior makes everyone who passes by it at night wish they could go there at least once. This bar-like restaurant, inspired by the port of Kure, offers Kure's soul food and other dishes made with fresh ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea at relatively reasonable prices.

In particular, the sumptuous prosciutto ham heaping is an iron plate menu of Gojuroku, and becomes a dish that makes drinks go very well. " , a cross between beef stew and meat stew, is also a very popular dish. "is a demi-stewed beef stew.

The main seating is at tables and counters, but there is also open-air outdoor terrace seating, which may be the perfect izakaya to come with colleagues or friends. With its easy accessibility right next to Kure Station, you can relieve your stress at Gojuroku after work.

Citrus Restaurant; Lemon

Citrus Shuka Graduates is located in the Red Building on Nakadori Avenue. Here you can enjoy lemon sours and creative dishes made with fresh Setouchi lemons from Osakishita Island, Gamagari, and other islands in Kure. In particular, there are always more than 10 kinds of lemon sours available, so it is worth a visit for lemon sour lovers and not-so-lovers alike. The refreshing flavor of Setouchi lemons will surely intoxicate you.

Setouchi lemons are now one of Hiroshima's representative specialty products, and we recommend this restaurant to those who come from outside of the prefecture, as they can fully enjoy the Setouchi lemons. The price is relatively reasonable for an all-you-can-drink course that includes citrus dishes, making it an easy place to go.

Kashima Honten

Kashima Honten is a long-established izakaya that represents Kure and is probably well-known to all residents of Kure. Although it is usually used for large parties such as year-end parties, it is also possible to spend a relaxing time with a small group of people in a completely private room. The private rooms are basically seats and sunken kotatsu, and the atmosphere is old-fashioned and elegant, making it a very comfortable restaurant.

While the restaurant offers an extensive menu of meals centered on seasonal seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, Kashima's main restaurant also has a long history of operating as a yakitori restaurant, and its traditional yakitori (grilled chicken) tastes excellent. Furthermore, Kashima also offers ostrich sashimi and steak, a rarely seen delicacy, so if you are at all curious, please try it and let us know what you think.

Near the Kashima Honten is Ryu Noodle, a Kure specialty restaurant that opens at 9:00 p.m., a novel style, but many people visit this restaurant for after-parties or to finish off a night of drinking, as they can enjoy the rich and exquisite curry ramen. Therefore, how about the best plan to have a drink at Kashima Honten and then stop by Ryu Noodle, which is located right next door?

Hamayaki Dining Umi no Yeah!

This place is located along the river on Nakadori, and as the name of this pop-up name suggests, it is a very fun place to visit. The restaurant is called "Umi no Yeah! so the main dishes are seafood and hamayaki, but the most attractive thing about this restaurant is that you can eat a lot of fresh oyster dishes from Ondo. Although there are some conditions, there is even an all-you-can-eat oyster course, making this restaurant a must for oyster lovers. The ahi jio, a special dish with a choice of nine different ingredients including oysters, shrimps, and chicken, is also superb and especially popular among women.

The restaurant offers a variety of courses, including its signature Hamayaki, girls' night out, after-party, etc., making it a restaurant that can be used without hesitation in a variety of situations, such as drinking parties with friends and colleagues, company drinking parties, blind dates, and dining out with family members.

Personal Izakaya Kyushu Soul

This izakaya is located in Recre, directly connected to Kure Station. As the name "Kyushu Spirit" suggests, this restaurant offers Kyushu specialties, and you can enjoy a full lineup of Kyushu specialties in Kure, including authentic Hakata Motsu-nabe, Chicken Nanban with homemade tartar sauce that originated in Miyazaki, and Nakatsu Karaage with the irresistible flavor of garlic from Oita. In addition to Kyushu specialties, the restaurant also offers a variety of standard menu items, as well as Kure's exclusive small sardine tempura, gansu, and fried oysters. A variety of course meals are also available, all of which are so attractive that you may have a hard time deciding which one to choose, but we are sure you will find it fulfilling no matter which one you choose.

All rooms are completely private, and since the restaurant opened relatively recently, the interior is clean and very comfortable. We also have a large selection of delicious shochu, a representative of Kyushu's shochu, so shochu lovers are sure to be pleased with our selection. Furthermore, the izakaya is directly connected to Kure Station, making it an extremely accessible izakaya that is always crowded with people on weekends. It is recommended to make a reservation when you go there.

NANO

Located on Kure's Nakadori Street, this Italian restaurant is a true hideaway, but it is also a great place to have a drink. The interior is very stylish, making it a great place for a date, but also suitable for a small group of friends or a drink alone.

The menu offers a variety of excellent Italian dishes, including pasta and NANO salads, of which the seafood cream croquette is one of the most recommended. We recommend you to spend a relaxing and wonderful time at NANO, a hideaway Italian restaurant.

Teppan WAKKA

Finally, I would like to recommend Teppan WAKKA (formerly known as GOTO). As the name suggests, it is a teppan-yaki restaurant, but while most teppan-yaki restaurants in Hiroshima are okonomiyaki, this restaurant does not offer okonomiyaki, but pure teppan cuisine. It is a small and cozy restaurant with counter and table seating, and can be rented out for parties of 12 people or more. Therefore, many people rent out the restaurant for company drinking parties and the like.

The restaurant offers a variety of creative teppan-yaki dishes, and the best steak and hormone yaki are popular, especially the grilled edamame, which is more savory than regular edamame and goes great with alcohol. It is a restaurant that is easy to use for after-parties as well.
