Shoujuin Temple



Shojuin became famous for its heart-shaped inome window, which is said to be a window that brings happiness. The inome window offers just a beautiful view of the garden, and the scenery changes with the seasons.
In summer, Shojuin holds a wind-bell festival, where visitors can try their hand at painting wind-bells.

Manpukuji Temple



Mampuku-ji Temple, the main temple of the Ōbaku school of Zen Buddhism, is a little different from Japanese temples because of its Chinese Ming Dynasty style, which was introduced by the Chinese monk Zenji Ogen.
