[Utsunomiya ]Enjoy a half-day trip to the city of gyoza (dumplings) to eat and drink!

It was created as a tie-up with Utsunomiya City in 1994 as part of a TV program project, and was originally located in the pedestrian plaza at the east exit, but was relocated to the west exit pedestrian deck in October 2008 due to redevelopment, and then to the second floor of the pedestrian deck in October 2014.
It became a bit famous for an incident during the relocation when it fell from a lifting crane truck, but it was safely restored and is now a popular photo spot for tourists!

Utsunomiya Futaarasan Shrine

The shrine is characterized by the red torii gate that appears in the city and the long stone steps that can be seen beyond the gate. "Futaarasan Shrine "

In addition to the main shrine, there are 12 smaller shrines (end shrines) within the precincts of Utsunomiya Futaarasan Shrine, which are dedicated to gods of learning, safe childbirth, fertility, and so on, so you can obtain various benefits from them.

The red seals at this shrine come in a variety of patterns, all with very cute designs, so it is hard to decide which one to choose!

Utsunomiya Castle Site Park

Utsunomiya Castle is said to have been built by Fujiwara Hidesato or Fujiwara Soen in the late Heian period (794-1185), and was praised as one of the seven best castles in Kanto during the Edo period. The castle was destroyed by fire during the Boshin War (1868-1868), but in March 2007, a castle site park was completed on the site of the main castle. Part of the earthen mound remains and the turret has been restored.

There are many attractions such as Seimyodai, Fujimi-yagura, Utsunomiya Shrine Monoshiri Museum, and Machiaruki Information Center, so be sure to visit.
