Takasaki Festival Big Fireworks Display
The Takasaki Festival is the most famous fireworks display held in Gunma.
This very famous event is usually held in August (Saturday, August 23 in 2025).
Fireworks will be launched on the first day.
The famous presentation of about 15,000 fireworks in just less than an hour is the highlight of the festival, and many cheers can be heard.
The sight of colorful fireworks blooming to fill the night sky is breathtaking.
In particular, the very large "Starmine "launched at the end of the festival is a must-see.
During the festival, "Takasaki Dashi Matsuri (Takasaki Float Festival) "will also be held at the same time.
The sight of various types of floats and citizens parading in a procession along the streets is quite a sight to behold.
The heat of the venue blends in with the summer heat, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The "Awa Odori" (Awa Dance), a traditional performing art of Tokushima Prefecture, will also be performed, making the festival a great spectacle.
If you have time, please enjoy this one as well.
There will be traffic restrictions and fairly large traffic jams on this day, so if you are driving, you will want to secure a parking space as soon as possible.
Since there will most likely be no temporary parking available for the Takasaki Festival, use nearby coin-operated parking lots.
The venue will be in the urban area centered on the east station exit of Takasaki Station.
Considering the walk from where you parked, it is recommended that you find parking in this neighborhood.
Traffic control will begin around 6:30 p.m.
Please note that if you arrive at the last minute, you may find "that there is no space available anywhere ".

"Maebashi City Fireworks Festival will be held at Tonegawa Ootobashi riverbed ".
The event is usually held on the second Saturday in August. (August 9 (Sat.) in FY2025)
Since the event is only held for one day, many people visit on the day of the event.
The total number of fireworks launched was about 15,000, the same number as the Takasaki Festival Grand Fireworks Festival.
The festival features many highlights such as fireworks set off to light, sound, and music, as well as trick fireworks.
The large "Super Wide Starmine "and the weeping willow-like "Niagara "are especially spectacular.
The food stalls, one of the festival's most popular attractions, will feature dishes using Maebashi's specialty, pork.
The fireworks are scheduled to be launched from 7:00 p.m., but we recommend that you visit early to enjoy the gourmet food.
Paid spectator seats are available for the Maebashi Fireworks Festival.
It is a very popular place to watch fireworks at your leisure without worrying about getting a special seat.
Please consider purchasing as soon as possible if you wish to purchase.
The west side of the riverbed and the area around the paid viewing area will be closed to traffic after 5:00 p.m. on the day of the event.
Please note that the area is expected to be quite crowded.
Information on designated parking lots around the venue is available, but please arrive early as they are often full by evening.
