Atami Tamanoyu Hotel

"Atami Tamanoyu Hotel "is a Showa-era retro onsen ryokan with the ocean right in front of it. It creates such a nice atmosphere that you can feel somewhat nostalgic.

The guest rooms overlook the Atami Sea, and on a clear day, you can see the beautiful sunrise from Sagami Bay rising into the eastern sky. The sunset on the horizon is also a highlight, and the ever-changing view of the sea is something to behold for a long time. All rooms are Japanese-style rooms, spacious yet relaxing. Some rooms have an indoor bath made of Japanese cypress.

Hot spring water gushes out from the side of the hotel, and natural hot spring water is pumped directly into the bathtub.
It has an open-air bath with a view of Hatsushima Island, the Boso Peninsula, and Sagami Bay, as well as a night view. Since the hot spring water is drawn directly into the large baths, there are sometimes hot water flowers and pebbles mixed in, proving that it is truly a natural hot spring.
In addition, there is an aquarium in the large bathhouse, where visitors can enjoy a bath while watching tropical fish swimming there. The hot spring water is effective for neuralgia, recovery from fatigue, and chronic skin diseases. You can also enjoy a sleeping bath and sauna.

Dinner is prepared with seasonal ingredients and features Atami cuisine of the four seasons.
From seafood to meat dishes, the cuisine is exquisite and the plates are gorgeous to look at.
Both dinner and breakfast are served in your room, and breakfast is a healthful menu using mainly local ingredients. Dried fish grilled on the spot is a specialty of Tamanoyu Hotel. For those who cannot get enough of the dishes in the plan, you can order a variety of additional dishes, all of which are exquisite and carefully selected.

"Ito Yuukitei Kawana Bettei "is a luxury ryokan with only five guest rooms. It is the villa of "Ito Yukitei ", the predecessor of "Tokaikan ", which was established in 1928 and is also a sightseeing spot.

After passing a quiet residential area, you will see a tasteful black wall surrounded by a bamboo grove.
At the back, on a hillside of about 6,000 tsubo (about 6,000 m2), is "Ito-Yukitei Kawana Villa ".

The well-maintained garden is very beautiful, and the view of Sagami Bay is very liberating. There are Kawazu cherry trees and Someiyoshino cherry trees, and beautiful cherry blossoms can be seen in spring. The paths are decorated with objects into which private spring water is poured, and are very tasteful.

All guest rooms have open-air and indoor baths with free-flowing hot-spring water. Of the five guest rooms, three are regular guest rooms and two are special rooms with garden open-air baths.

The guest rooms are usually of the Japanese/Western style, consisting of a Japanese-style main room and a bedroom with a bed. The rooms have white walls in a folk art style, and have their own private Hakoniwa (Japanese box garden). The shape of the open-air bath in each room is different, and each has its own unique style, such as granite or round Shigaraki porcelain.

In addition to the indoor bath and outdoor bath on the terrace, two of the more luxurious special guest rooms have a garden outdoor bath with a changing area. The spacious bathtubs are also equipped with large stones that are soft to the touch, making you feel even more like you are in the midst of nature.

The bath is a natural hot spring that is directly poured from our own hot spring source. The sodium calcium chloride spring water warms the body and is a beauty's bath.
The cuisine is Kawana-style creative kaiseki cuisine full of seasonal ingredients. Breakfast and dinner are served in a completely private dining room in the main building. Dinner is served one by one with creative Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine centered on local seasonal ingredients. The beautiful and delicate dishes created by the chef, who was trained in the Kansai region, are a feast for the eyes and palate.

With fields spreading across the grounds and fish swimming in a lazy stream, this is a place where the Japanese landscape seems to have slipped back in time. The nature of the satoyama shows its seasonal changes and soothes the hearts of visitors.

There is also a ledger room reminiscent of an old private house, where visitors can rent a set of picture cards for chess and Go, as well as colored yukata (Japanese summer kimono). Visitors can also enjoy a variety of other facilities, including a footbath, a pottery studio, a soba noodle shop, and even a yaki-imo stall.

There are two sources, eight bathhouses, and three private baths that offer a variety of atmospheres. The large bathhouse in the center of the property, which is the pride of Kiranosato, has two private hot springs that generously pour hot water, which is known as the "hot water for beautiful skin. Visitors can relax in the smooth hot water while feeling the seasons in the nature of the satoyama.

Other baths include a reclining bath, an indoor bath, a jar bath, a hitting water bath, and an open-air hinoki bath with free-flowing hot-spring water, so you will never get tired of enjoying hot spring baths. There are also three types of private baths, including a dynamic bathtub carved out of a huge stone and a bathtub surrounded by bamboo and rocks, all of which are very attractive.

For dinner, you can enjoy delicious kaiseki meals featuring delicacies from the Izu mountains and sea.
The shabu-shabu is an exquisite dish of seasonal seafood and vegetables caught mainly in the waters around Izu.
In addition to "Umi Tsubaki ", which is a restaurant focusing on shabu-shabu, there is also "Yamaboshi ", which focuses on lava-roasted dishes. The lava-grilled beef, pork, and seasonal vegetables are grilled on hot lava rocks, bringing out their umami and making them a healthy choice.
