New Chitose Airport is the gateway to Sapporo tourism. As a hub airport with an international terminal, the number of flights to various destinations and the number of airlines operating there are many.
Biei Cornbread is now attracting attention at New Chitose Airport.
The bread is sold by JA Biei, which has a store inside the airport. You can purchase seasonal agricultural products selected by JA Biei for their freshness and quality, such as corn, tomatoes, asparagus, and potatoes grown in the land of Biei.
There are also many breads available only at New Chitose Airport, such as the airport-only breads made in collaboration with Boulangerie "VIRON "(VIRON). Among them, "Biei no Kohnpan "and "Biei no Mamepan "are very popular as airport-only breads. The popularity of these breads has spread through the media and word of mouth, with huge lines forming in the morning for freshly baked bread.
Often, even if you visit the airport first thing in the morning, you will not be able to buy one. If you want to buy, try to buy at the beginning of your trip, not at the end!

[14:00] Sapporo City Walking Tour
All of the sightseeing spots in Sapporo are very accessible and can be visited on foot as well as by train or bus. This is perfect for when you have a little free time in your trip or when you want to visit many sightseeing spots in a short time! Let's enjoy sightseeing in the best parts of Hokkaido.
Sapporo Clock Tower
The Sapporo Clock Tower is the best existing clock tower in Sapporo. Its official name is "Former Sapporo Agricultural College Demonstration Hall ". It is now one of Hokkaido's most popular tourist attractions, but one of the reasons it has attracted so much attention is that it has been selected as one of the three most disappointing spots in Japan.
"The reason why I was disappointed "is, without a doubt, the size of the clock tower. With the urbanization of the surrounding area and the many skyscrapers around it, it may not seem as powerful in terms of size. However, it is a place with many attractions, such as the sound of the clock that strikes 156 times a day every hour and the historical exterior!
Main entrance
The clock tower was originally constructed in 1878 as a facility for the Sapporo Agricultural College, the predecessor of Hokkaido University, based on the conception of Dr. Clark, the first vice principal of the college. The building, which has served as an office for educational organizations, a military facility, and a municipal library in the Showa period, was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in June 1970. After undergoing several restoration works, it is now a well-known landmark of Sapporo and a beloved clock tower that tells time for the citizens of Sapporo.
Please visit the clock tower, which shows different expressions depending on the angle from which it is photographed!

Sapporo TV Tower
Sapporo TV Tower
The Sapporo TV Tower is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Sapporo.
The TV Tower, which towers over the easternmost end of Odori, is a popular tourist spot and a symbol of Sapporo, catching the eye even if you are walking down the street unaware of its presence.
Of course, it is not as tall as Tokyo Tower or Sky Tree, but the spectacular view of Odori Park, the center of Sapporo divided into east and west, is so breathtaking that it cannot be underestimated. Odori Park hosts many events each season, and you can see the various changes in the park from above!
There is also an attraction on the observatory called "Kowaso (Scary Window) "where you can play a very simple game of leaning against the glass wall from your feet to the ceiling. This is surprisingly quite scary, so please try it and see if you are fooled.

Chase Park
The vast "Odori Park "crosses about 1.5 km from east to west through the center of Sapporo. It was first built in 1871 as a large-scale firebreak dividing the city from north to south.
Surrounded by beautiful seasonal flowers, lawns, and 4,700 trees of about 90 varieties, the park is a place of recreation and relaxation for residents and visitors alike, and is also Hokkaido's premier venue for seasonal events such as the YOSAKOI Soran Festival, Snow Festival, and illumination.
The park is divided into 12 blocks, from 1 to 12 chome, with each block separated by a pedestrian crossing. The Odori Park is approximately 1.5 km from one end to the other, and is so vast that it would take approximately 30 minutes to walk through it.
The most attractive features of Odori Park are the "fountain "and the "sculpture ". "There is a wide variety of fountains, such as the "Wall Fountain "(Nishi 2-chome), which reproduces the sound of a murmuring stream, the "Nishi 3-chome Fountain ", which repeatedly puts on a spectacular show under the theme of "The Dynamism of Life "," and the "Nishi 7-chome Fountain "on a water basin that is constantly gushing water. Many of them are lit up at night, so it is interesting to wander around and find your favorite spot!
Experience the charm of Odori Park, which is picturesque no matter where you turn.
