aquarium
Kaiyukan is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Osaka.
It is one of the largest aquariums in the world, reproducing 14 different marine environments from the Pacific Ocean and other regions. It is one of the largest aquariums in the world, and is a must-see for all aquarium lovers.
The fish there number 600 species and 30,000 items.
Sequence of viewing various aquariums
You enter the museum through the entrance gate. The first thing you will pass through is the Aqua Gate, which looks like a tunnel of aquariums.
Then take the escalator up to the 8th floor. It is a very long escalator. For those of you who are afraid of heights, let me tell you this. "Behind you...don't look, don't ever look. "
Once up to the 8th floor, visitors can view the exhibit by descending the ramp from there to the bottom.
The most impressive is the huge "Pacific "tank, which holds 5400 tons of water. It is both deep and deep, giving visitors a sense of the size of the ocean and a sense of reality. Whale sharks and manta rays swimming heroically in the tank are the highlights here. You will not get bored even if you watch them for a long time.
No aquarium is a hassle for any of them. Fascinating creatures
"Japanese forests "of the Japanese otter, "Gray seals in Monterey Bay ", "Red bears in the Gulf of Panama ", "Pirarucu in the Ecuadorian rainforest ", "Penguins in Antarctica ", "Pacific white-sided dolphins in the Tasman Sea ", "Tropical fish on the Great Barrier Reef ", "Fish close to us in the Seto Inland Sea ", "sunfish in special aquarium ", "Chile's Sardines in ", loggerhead turtles in "Cook Strait ", hawksbill crabs in "Japan Trench ", and water jellyfish in "Sea Moon Galaxy "are just a few of the fascinating creatures that await you in each aquarium.
Let's be careful here.
The following is a list of points that you should pay attention to in order to fully enjoy yourself at Kaiyukan. Please use them as a reference when you actually visit the museum.
In some cases, the ticket office will be crowded, so it is best to purchase tickets in advance if you can. It may also be effective to avoid days, weekdays, or times when it is likely to be crowded.
The aquarium is also inside the building, and given the large number of visitors, there are seasons when the air conditioning is turned on. Be prepared if you think you may need a light jacket depending on the day.
As for strollers, the Kaiyukan's route is in the form of an escalator up to the top and then a ramp down, but there are several ascents and descents, so it is necessary to use the staff elevator several times.
You should not look at a fish swimming happily and say "That fish looks delicious ". And the use of half-hearted Kansai dialect is strictly prohibited. This is not written in the precautions on the admission ticket.
Also, there is a store in the Kaiyukan. Do not greet the shopkeepers there with "Do you make money? "and do not greet them tactlessly (there are testimonies that no one speaks it as an everyday language). Instead, take your favorite stuffed animal or small goods as a memento of your visit.
A unique way to enjoy the night
This aquarium is open until night, so you can go there after 5:00 p.m. and enjoy "the aquarium at night ". There are not so many visitors, the lights are slightly darkened, and you can enjoy the aquarium's mysterious atmosphere.
