"Tsutenkaku", the symbol of Shinsekai, the "Eiffel Tower of Naniwa", is a 103-meter-high observatory. The Shinsekai area where such a tourist attraction "Tsutenkaku Tower" is located used to be an entertainment district where workers gathered, and the old streets of the Showa period still remain without much sectional maintenance. It is still a place where locals enjoy food and entertainment, but recently the number of tourists visiting Shinsekai has been increasing as they seek out the local and deep stores in the area. One of the reasons for the popularity of Shinsekai is its easy accessibility, as it is close to Namba and Shinsaibashi.
