North Confectionery

We are a confectionery manufacturer founded in 1991 in Sunagawa City, about 80 km north of Sapporo. Thanks to word of mouth from cabin attendants and pilots and introductions on national television, its cream puffs, baumkuchen, and okaki have become nationally known and are now Hokkaido's leading confectionery maker.

Cream Puffs "North Dream Dome "

These cream puffs are filled with two layers of cream: custard cream and fresh cream. The fresh cream with a moderate sweetness enhances the sweetness of the custard cream, creating a perfect balance. It is recommended to eat it while dipping the top cookie dough into the cream.

Chiseled Shoe "Biscotto "

A unique cream puff with a sticky crust filled with custard cream. The cream puffs are a new kind of sweet, and are eaten by tearing off a piece of the crust and dipping it in the custard cream. The crust is made of a non-sweet dough with the flavor of natural cheese and a hint of saltiness, giving it a slightly mature taste.

Baumkuchen "fairy forest "

This is the author's No. 1 baumkuchen. There are two types: a large whole baumkuchen and a small individually wrapped baumkuchen. The overwhelming moistness of the baumkuchen is what sets it apart from other baumkuchen. It is made with a lot of butter and has a sweet taste. The dough is very soft, so it tastes even better when slightly cooled.

Hokkaido pioneer cracker

This product is so popular that some people can be seen at the New Chitose Airport store buying dozens of bags in bulk and flying out of the airport. There are a total of 10 varieties of Okaki, made with Hokkaido sticky rice and salt, and containing seafood chips such as Hokkaido sweet shrimp, scallops, and kelp. While there are many different kinds of okaki sold as souvenirs from Hokkaido, this one, with its fresh seafood flavor, is still the tastiest.

Liuhua Pavilion

Rokkatei is a well-known confectionery manufacturer in Obihiro City, Hokkaido, Japan, which started business in 1933 as "Obihiro Senjuan "and changed its name to "Rokkatei "in 1977. In fact, it was "Rokkatei "that first produced white chocolate in Japan in 1968!

Marsei butter sandwich

It is a classic Hokkaido souvenir and an undeniably popular item. I have loved these biscuits since I was a child, and I don't know how many I have eaten. It is a raisin sandwich made with a cookie made of flour made exclusively by Rokkatei, and sandwiched between white chocolate, raisins, and cream made from a combination of 100% Hokkaido raw milk butter.

Since the biscuits will become too soft if left at room temperature, they are best eaten after being chilled beforehand. When frozen, the cookie dough becomes soft and fluffy, and the cream hardens like ice cream, giving it a different taste.

topping of frost

A buttery, crispy chocolate pie sandwiched between two layers of mocha white chocolate cream. The cream has a strong coffee flavor.

Like "Marusei Butter Sandwich ", the cream becomes too soft if left at room temperature, so it is recommended to cool it down before eating. Also, the pie crust is quite fragile and will shatter if not carried with care, so be careful when buying as a souvenir!

Lloyds.

We are a chocolate confectionery manufacturer established in 1983 in Sapporo. We offer high quality chocolate confections that are sure to please any person who buys them as souvenirs from Hokkaido.

mixture of chocolate, cream and liquor, used in truffles, ganache, etc.

It is so familiar in Hokkaido that "raw chocolate = Lloyds ". The characteristic of Lloyds' raw chocolate is its surprisingly smooth texture compared to other raw chocolates. "In contrast to the definition of raw chocolate set by the Fair Trade Council, which states that raw chocolate must have at least 10% water and 10% cream "by total weight, Lloyds' "raw chocolate "has about 17% water because it uses a lot of Hokkaido cream and sake, which is the secret to its superb smoothness.

Potato Chip Chocolate

These salty potato chips are coated on one side with Lloyds' finest chocolate. Compared to other chocolate-covered potato chips on the market, this is by far the most luxurious chocolate covered potato chip on the market. Once you try this "Potato Chip Chocolate ", you won't be able to eat any other chocolate covered potato chips, it's so addictive and delicious.

Fresh Chocolate Croissant

It is available at "Lloyds Chocolate World "in New Chitose Airport and 7 bakery-affiliated stores near Sapporo. The croissant dough is filled with Lloyds' signature "raw chocolate ", making it a highly satisfying product.

Seicomart (coffee shop)

Seicomart (a.k.a. Seikomart) "is a convenience store that is the pride of the people of Hokkaido and has repeatedly ranked first in customer satisfaction, beating out the major convenience store chains. " Seicomart is so indispensable to the lives of Hokkaido residents that it is the only company in Japan with more stores in Hokkaido than the three major convenience store chains. Seicomart is also a treasure trove of sweets and confections that make the most of Hokkaido ingredients.

Hokkaido Creamy Soft

These products are very popular at Hokkaido product fairs in Honshu and at supermarkets. Seicomart's (hereafter "Seicoma") milk products in general use milk produced in Toyotomi Town, which is characterized by its rich, sweet taste.

"Hokkaido Creamy Soft "has a smooth texture and a rich flavor that is hard to believe for a product under 200 yen. Flavors range from standard favorites such as vanilla and chocolate & vanilla to Hokkaido's own unique flavors such as red melon and kokibi (corn).

Note that SECOMA products are several tens of yen cheaper when purchased at SECOMA than at product fairs or supermarket fairs, so please buy them when you come to Hokkaido!

Hokkaido Milk Candy

Although they are reasonably priced at 110 yen, they have a deep, rich flavor that is not at all inferior to the rich milk candies made by major confectionery makers. The power of milk produced in Toyotomi Town is amazing! If you are planning to buy candy as a souvenir from Hokkaido, this product is my first choice.

Sarabetsu Industrial Promotion Public Corporation

Sarabetsu Village, located about 10 minutes by car from Obihiro Airport, is a thriving agricultural village where potatoes, wheat, beans, beets, and plums are specialties. "Sarabetsu Industrial Promotion Corporation ( ") produces and sells confectionery and sake that make use of Sarabetsu Village's specialties.

Acorn Village Potato Chips

These potato chips are available at "Roadside Station Sarabetsu in Sarabetsu Village "and at supermarkets and mail-order stores throughout Hokkaido. There are only three ingredients: "potato, vegetable oil and fat, and salt ". You can enjoy the original flavor of potatoes. I don't usually eat potato chips, but these are so delicious that I can't stop eating them. ......

It is delicious eaten as it is, but it tastes even better if you roast it over a fire to increase its aroma and crispiness, so I recommend you give it a try when barbecuing.

Calbee (coffee liqueur)

Calbee has a Hokkaido souvenir brand "Potato Farm "that uses Hokkaido potatoes. The very popular Hokkaido souvenirs "Jaga Pokkuru "and "Jaga Pirika "are products of "Potato Farm ".

potato (Solanum tuberosum)

Nowadays, "Jaga Pokkuru "has become a staple of Hokkaido souvenirs. To be honest, there are some famous Hokkaido souvenirs that locals think "there are many more delicious souvenirs! "But "Jaga Pokkuru "is definitely delicious. You can enjoy the crispy texture, the natural sweetness of the potato, and the natural flavor of the skin remaining in some places.

Snuffles

This confectionery was established in Hakodate in 1998.

cheese omelet

This is the signature product of Hakodate's confectionery store "Snuffles ". Using Hokkaido cheese, eggs, milk, and other ingredients, this miniature cheese cake has a rich taste of cheese, but melts gently and is not heavy, making you want to eat several. There are several similar products sold in Hokkaido, but this "Cheese Omelet "is our top choice.

Available at five Hakodate stores, two Sapporo stores, and a New Chitose Airport store.

the belt of Orion

Founded in 1898 in Otaru City by the uncle of novelist Takiji Kobayashi, famous for his "crab ship ", this historic confectionery manufacturer moved its base to Tomakomai City in 1912. The company has developed a number of Haskap confections, including the nationally famous "Yoitomake ".

heave ho (shout used by construction workers, etc. when pulling something big)

Tomakomai's famous confectionery has been loved by people ever since it was first sold in 1953. The firm texture of the sponge cake roll is rolled in Hokkaido's famous Haskap jam, and the outside is coated with Haskap jam. The sweet and sour haskap jam and the sponge cake are a perfect match.

In the past, only whole rolls were sold, and the sticky surface made them difficult to handle. "It is also famous as Japan's most difficult-to-eat confectionery ", but don't worry, individual packages are now available, making it easier to eat.

"Yoitomake "is available at Mitsuboshi stores in Tomakomai and Sapporo, souvenir stores throughout Hokkaido, and souvenir stores at New Chitose Airport.

Chiakiwunan (a Buddhist temple)

It is the oldest existing confectionery shop in Hokkaido. In 1860, at the end of the Edo period, "Hakodate Senjuan Sohonke "was founded in Hakodate, which was bustling with the opening of the port for the Treaty of Friendship between Japan and the United States. The company was later divided into several other confectioneries in Hokkaido, and "Sapporo Senju-an "in Sapporo and "Rokkatei "in Obihiro, and has developed into a cornerstone of the confectionery culture in Hokkaido.

Mountain Kissing Father

This Western-style cracker has been sold since 1930 and is made with butter and milk. The product name "Yama-Dad "is a nickname for a bear that used to walk around the mountains and fields of Hokkaido with its own face. The package and crackers feature an illustration of a bear on skis, carrying a bamboo leaf and salmon.

With a crunchy texture in the center and crispy edges, it is a favorite of adults and children alike who never get tired of it.

summary

We have introduced a wide range of confections, from nationally famous sweets to hidden gems. All of them are truly delicious sweets that even the locals get excited to try. We hope you will try them on your next trip to Hokkaido!
